Artists at heart, Jackie and Daphne caught the art bug at the same time.  Jackie got back in touch with her artistic side with the arrival of her nephew.  Wanting to give him something from her heart, she re-acquainted herself with knitting that her older sister taught her as a child.  With the encouragement from her best friend Daphne, this soon became a business.  Daphne found herself inspired by Jackie and this fired up the artist that was buried inside her.

With the success of their businesses and finding that the customers of one resulted eventually to the customers for the other they decided to not only network their businesses but form a website that provided a single source for all the talented, creative and brilliant people here in Austin.

AUSTIN DESIGNERS offers you the art, style and talent of local artists available in one place. Everyone knows Austin has a huge resource of talented, creative, brilliant people and here they have been made available to you.

Jackie and Daphne, like the rest of their college friends, moved away from Austin after graduating from college, but did not stay away for long.  Their love for Austin brought them back to this great city.  They have been exploring, living, and being all that Austin is for over 11 years.  The self-proclaimed Fashionistas, came up with the idea of LIVE AUSTIN after realizing that they were often the ones friends and co-workers went to for information of where and what to do in Austin. Again these friends for life then put their creative minds to work. 

It provides a look into the way Austinites live.  On our websites and their links, you will see the many different styles of Austin businesses and art, and the interesting people behind them. People who want to show what they have done, what they have to offer, and spread the Austin vibe. We believe Austin is filled with a lot of positive energy, with local artists who exude this flare and style.  We hope you enjoy and appreciate it as much as we do.
